Help the House of Allah to be debt free!

Posted in News

"The Believer to the Believer is like a solid building, one part supporting the other."[Related by Al-Bukhari (no. 481) and Muslim (no. 2585) from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari radhiallahu 'anhu]

In the Name of Allah, The Ever-Merciful

By the mercy of Allah and your continuous financial support, finally we have purchased the sixth floor. Alhamdulillah, the entire building belongs now to the masjid! However, our journey does not end here. Now we must put our hands together once again in order to make the House of Allah debt free!

For more than forty years, Masjid Manhattan has played and continues to play a significant role in serving the Muslim and Non-Muslim community in the lower Manhattan. We serve a diversity of brothers & sisters from different backgrounds from all around the globe. In addition to the five salah, Jummah prayer, classes on Quran & Sunnah, marriage counseling, Arabic language classes, Da’wah program and interfaith dialogue, the Masjid has played an extraordinary role during the month of Ramadan by serving daily iftar to hundreds of brothers and sisters and offering Taraweeah prayer.

All of these activities have been successfully possible thanks to Allah-supponahu-wa-Allah and your continuous du’ahs and contributions. Therefore, we hope that, insha’Allah, you will continue to join us in this humble effort and help us raise the Flag of 'La Ilaha Illal Lahu’ in this strategic point of New York City.

Let’s remind ourselves that Allah says:

  • "The example of those who spend their property in the way of Allah is as that of a grain growing seven ears (with) a hundred grains in every ear; and Allah multiplies for whom He pleases; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing." (Quran 2:261)
  • "Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will" Surah Al-Baqara (245).
  • Our Prophet (pbuh) also said: "Whoever builds a house for the cause of Allah, then Allah will build house for him in Jannah”

Our strength lies in our collective and united effort and every one of us counts!
